The Power of Illusion (Maya) In yoga we describe the veiling power of the mind as maya. Maya is the illusion that our mind creates telling us that something is real when, in actuality, our perception is a function of the "software" our mind uses to create sensory perception. Someone sent me these photos of these famous people with and without make-up (the power of make-up!). Has the person changed because of the application or removal of the make-up. What does our mind do as we go from picture to picture? What is real? Is either real? If you show this to a friend and he or she has a different perception of the pictures than you do, who's perception is real? What is REALLY real? What does our mind create? This is maya presented in a humorous way!
